The Poo, The Whole Poo, And Nothing But The Poo

A Quick Preamble:

Yep, a bit gross i sposecertainly a bit of a taboo subject for some and probably not a worthy subject for discussion at meal-times but hey, why not talk about it..?..we all do it you know, even the prettiest and most handsome among us, and the most famous or even the most Royalits out-n-out THE most natural function of your body and serves a very critical life-or-death function

it rids your body of all the nasty toxins and poison that your body naturally produces as a result of your eating, your drinking, your environment, your physical and mental stress levels and just plain living, loving or lolly-gagging the overall effects of your life..!

And if you can get over your social-conditioning or personal disgust, then playing a quick game of peek-a-poo before you flush, can easily and quickly tell you exactly where you currently stand (if youre not stilluhmsitting of course..!) with regard to your natural health and wellness.

Cutting To The Chase:

Oh for gawd sakes, it is your own poo im talking about you know im not insisting that you should start wandering around checking everybody elses, now that would be entirely gross and i think pretty much frowned-upon by society at largejust imagine how all those poor doctors and nurses feel they have to do this sort of thing for a living, for loads of strangers

ok i digress yet again, so enough of that and back to what im sure you believe to be the totally fascinating topic at handyour poo at least thats what we always called it where i come frombut also often known as poop, doo-doo, kaka, No.2, turds, or crap or a myriad of other, colourful and amusing, sometimes pretty crude names, that i shant bother with right here..!

Oh yes, and the correct name of course is Faeces or even Stool but those names are a little too scientific and a bit dull, so well stick to my ancestral, south-east-english dialect and good old fashioned poo for the sake of this article.

Is It Difficult For You To Go..?

It really shouldnt be difficult at all for you to pooit should be relatively easy, with no serious pushing which is a common cause of Hemorrhoids charmingly called a-bunch-o-grapes where i come from, and you dont want them..!

It should take just a couple of minutes, with no battling, struggling or sweating involved save that for your strength trainingand if you are struggling and taking much longer than necessary, then thats a pretty good sign that somethings wrong youre probably in the realm of constipationbunged up, clogged or blocked chute etc.

If it takes but the briefest of times because its a little too soft or too liquid then youre likely in the opposite realm the realm of diarrheathe squitters, the squirtswoteva..!

How Often Do You Need To Go..?

Its generally agreed by those in-the-know from the health, the medical and the scientific fraternities, that between 1 and 4 times per day is the healthy normdepending on how often, how much and what you eat as well as your individual metabolism but at least once per day is important because you need to rid your body of the daily build-up of body/Gastrointestinal (GI) toxins.

If youre not sitting-on-the-pot at least once every day = constipation

If youre sitting-on-the-pot 5 or more times during the day = diarrhea

Do You Accomplish A Full Evac?

Sounds like a military manoeuvre doesnt it..?

Do you experience a full bowel evacuation every time..?..Do you feel you finish completely or do you often or always end up feeling a little uncomfortable are you left with a feeling of not-quite-finished and need to return for a sit-down very soon after your last visit to the loo..?

If youre not feeling satisfactorily empty, then youre quite simply just not having yourself the healthiest of bowel movements.

Exactly HOW Stinky Is It..?

Well im sure we can agree on the fact that poo is never meant to smell like roses anyway, right..?..and i dont care who you are or what your place in society is, thats a fact everyone of us has to live with

but you should definitely know that it can smell a lot worseit may be because of certain medication youre taking or simply something youve eaten or drank, but if you notice an unusual and persistent smell that you know is not because of any odd or irregular thing youve ingested, then you may have need to visit your doctor particularly if you have any other complications or symptoms along with the smell i.e. blood in your stool, pain or discomfort of your bowel or anus.

What Colour Is It..?

As im sure you already know, various shades of brown are considered normal, however, black, overly pale or even shades of yellow can occur and are most definitely not to be considered as normal

red wine, some european beers, fruits and vegetables like beetroot or blueberries can effect the colour of your poo but again, if you know you havent ingested any of these types of thing, then there is a problem that you will need checked by your doctor.

A black colouring could indicate bleeding in the stomach or intestine whilered may be an indication of bleeding in the GI tract or your rectum or anus.

Generally speaking, if your poo rates somewhere between Type 1 and Type 3 then you should consider yourself constipated, with Type 1 being the worstprobably due to an inadequate quantity of good fiber in your diet a lack of wholesome foods.

Types 6 and 7 are proof of the opposite extreme of diarrhea Type seven of course, being the worst typeyou may have a gluten intolerance or Celiac disease easily remedied..!

Type 4 is a beautiful, perfect poo youre good to go (pardon the pun, once again..!).
