I play 2 pitch twice a week and occasionally on the weekends in the summer and volleyball in the winter but I feel like that's not enough. I feel like I need to do more, to build more muscle and burn more fat.
Joining a gym is not the answer for me, been there, done that ended up in the pool more often then the workout room, or just didn't find the time to go. Also who wants to do an exercise workout alone, nobody to do it with, what fun is that. Wasted a lot of money.
Exercise program you can do at home. Sounds easy, sounds great. I've bought the videos, tapes, DVDs. They currently collect dust on my entertainment shelf, Too complicated, I would be all bent up on the floor with my head looking up trying to see the TV, not fun gives me a headache. I wouldn't get the full impact of the exercise workout, wouldn't do all the reps because i was trying to catch up, or rush through so I would stay in time for the next exercise. Then sometimes I didn't see the results they were promising. I mean I'm not going to kill myself working out if it doesn't give me the results, who would?
So what's the answer?
For me now I'm thinking I wasn't motivated enough, maybe a bit lazy. Maybe I just wasn't ready, Maybe I thought I still had time. Well now I'm 41 years old, times running out, if I want to look good I've got to do it now.
So I've got the treadmill. Start walking, boring, but my legs do look great. Unfortunately that's as far as it goes, so what else, pull out the old VCR and try the old exercise workouts again. What for they didn't work in the past, they're not any less complicated or easier to do now then they were then. Who's to say I'll get any results this time.
But exciting news, times have changed new exercise workouts are available. Exercises that work the whole body in short periods of time so you don't have to spend hours at the gym. (unless your in to that) What with programs on TV like the Ultimate Fighter and Mixed Martial Arts. Exercise programs are also mixing it up. Making exercises where you can get fast results with less complicated routines, using your own body weight, instead of expensive machines (which usually just collect dust). So look for a new routine, something that will give you a complete workout to reshape your body, and give you the results your looking for. I'm sure it's out there. Google it
